Nine hundred seventy six thousand words and counting

This is my process for blogging: I open my laptop, login, and then I stare at the screen wondering what the fuck I should do. It’s very similar to my process for writing. Sometimes I will go through and look at the website site itself (what a novel idea*) as if that will give me divine inspiration. It’s not that I don’t know what to write about or what to do, it’s the classic AuDHD cause of brain freeze and executive dysfunction where I absolutely know what I want to do but am overwhelmed with choice and so I usually do very little or nothing at all.

BUT! Today when I was doing exactly that I happened upon my Catalogue page and decided it would be fun to count up all the words I’ve published between my two author names, and the total number is 976,000 words.

This means that when I finally publish episodes 11 and 12 of The House of Nightfallen, I will officially have surpassed ONE MILLION words published!!! To think that I have already written well over one million words (including things I never published) is just wild to me. And this is just since 2012 when I published my first book, Zoe Thanatos.

I think when this happens I need to order a special cake to celebrate the occasion. But first I need to finish editing these two episodes (and it’s taking foreverrrrrrrrrrrrrr).
