About the Author

Crystal Cierlak is an American author from California who got her first taste for writing around her 9th birthday. While dabbling in coding and graphic design in her teenage years, Crystal took to writing and publishing fan fiction online, garnering a respectable following and reputation in the fan fiction community.

In 2012 while in the middle of her graduate studies in pursuit of a Masters in Media Psychology, Crystal wrote her first full-length novel, Zoe Thanatos, self-publishing in September of that year on her grandmother’s birthday. Between graduation and walking down the aisle to say I Do, Crystal published The Romance of Nick and Layla and Candidate Four, the former of which was previously published online as fan fiction, but was updated and “modernized” for the current time. The latter would become one of Crystal’s most successful series to date, recently celebrating its 10th anniversary.

Over the course of 10+ years Crystal published several more stories, including The House of Nightfallen, an episodic romantasy published under the pseudonym Lauren Bolt. To date Crystal Cierlak has published almost 40 books across eight series, and has no plans to stop any time soon.
