Returning to Nightfall

It’s been a few weeks since I finished writing episodes 11 and 12 of The House of Nightfallen. After working on both episodes (which were merged and unmerged at least twice during the writing process) I decided to take some much needed time off to completely clear these characters from my head and come back to it after I had some time to do other things. Like start writing something completely new. No, I don’t know why I do this to myself.

Anyway, so here I am weeks later ready to tackle these two episodes and get them out into the world and into reader’s hands. Episodes 11 and 12 are Return to Nightfall Parts 1 and 2, respectively, and are a combined 37,000+ words, which is the length of a novella. Or like a short novel. We’ll see how much of it gets edited down in the final versions. I do a lot of editing while I write and I tend not to cut out or over-edit when I’m in the actual editing phase, so I can’t see myself deleting a whole lot. Though I did start writing this/these particular Return to Nightfall episode/s nearly a year ago. It’s time.
